Terry Slager

Terry Ray Slager, age 66, of Jenison, passed away to his heavenly home after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, September 28, 2023. Terry was devoted to his family, especially his daughters. He was also a huge NASCAR fan, and was able to attend the Daytona 500 this past February. Terry’s hobbies included stamp collecting, coin collecting, and die-cast car collecting. Surviving are his children and grandchildren, Jennifer Slager (Mackenzie, Landon), Michelle and Trevor Venneman (Porter, Myles, Halloway), Chad Hainer (Christian, Kaden), Bryan and Amanda Hainer (Holland); mother, Nancy Slager; sister, Sandy and Greg Warren; brother, Dave and Michal Slager; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Slager. A private family burial will be held. A celebration of Terry’s life will take place on Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. at Moline Park, corner of Park Ave. and 144th, Moline 49335.

Hi, so sorry to see Terry has past. Just seen the notice today (January 16, 2023). Terry was my best man at my wedding in October of 1985. When we were in High School at Jenison we were best friends and for many years after that. Distance was the main reason we started drifting apart but I always considered him one of my best friends. Had a lot of great memories from High School and our 20's and 30's. He will be greatly missed. Your OLD friend, Dale Pelton

I Love you so much Dad. You will missed so much. I couldn't have asked for a better father 💗 u truly were the best. Now u are up there in heaven with Grandpa pain free from this Cancer. And your fav.
