Terry Slager

Terry Ray Slager, age 66, of Jenison, passed away to his heavenly home after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, September 28, 2023. Terry was devoted to his family, especially his daughters. He was also a huge NASCAR fan, and was able to attend the Daytona 500 this past February. Terry’s hobbies included stamp collecting, coin collecting, and die-cast car collecting. Surviving are his children and grandchildren, Jennifer Slager (Mackenzie, Landon), Michelle and Trevor Venneman (Porter, Myles, Halloway), Chad Hainer (Christian, Kaden), Bryan and Amanda Hainer (Holland); mother, Nancy Slager; sister, Sandy and Greg Warren; brother, Dave and Michal Slager; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Slager. A private family burial will be held.  A celebration of Terry’s life will take place on Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. at Moline Park, corner of Park Ave. and 144th, Moline 49335.
