Shirley graciously welcomed me when I became a staff member at Rogers High School in Wyoming in the 80"s. She made a point of meeting me during the school day and always offered her help in obtaining teaching materials and/or information. I'll never forget her kindness.

I was one of Miss Hill's students at Byron Center from 1954-1958, & she was my senior class advisor, we sure gave her some challenges as a new teacher!! Those were the good old days..... Rest in peace. Robert C. Thomas Class of 1958

Miss Hill was my 10th grade English teacher at Byron Center. She was a strict teacher, and I learned a lot from her. After college I taught Language Arts to 8th graders. One of the lessons they had the most fun with was one that Miss Hill did and I used it for many years with my students. Rest in peace Miss Hill. Thank you for being an exacting teacher who expected excellence from your students. It mattered.
