Sandra Jean Lange-Gamble

Sandra Jean Lange-Gamble, age 74, of Grandville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 16, 2015. Sandi was born in Grand Rapids on February 3, 1941 to Donald and Arlene (Stokkers) Lange, who preceded her in death. She graduated from South High School in 1959. She was a woman of strong faith who cherished and deeply loved her family. Sandi will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 6 years, Allen Gamble; daughters, Laura and Jon Doering, Nancy and Bill Lamb, Molly and John Moody; grandchildren, Lizzie and Natalie Doering, Jim and Ben Lamb, Anna and Jacob Moody; sister, Marlene and Larry Peasley; sister-in-law, Jean and Don Evert; many nieces, nephews, and dear cousins. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 11 am at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1481 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Rev. Dr. Scott Sommerfeld officiating. A celebration gathering of Sandi’s life will be held prior to the service from 10-11 am. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Spectrum Health Hospice for their loving care for Sandi, and also to Rev. Graves, who ministered so faithfully to the family during this journey. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Hospice. That picture is just as my memory of Sandi. It's been over 6 years since I last saw and talked to her except thru emails. She was so happy with her family and loved her grandkids so much. Wish I could have made the trip to visit her just one time. Rest in peace in the Lord.

My Mom…My Hero (A poem written especially for my beautiful mom, which I read to her the night before she went to heaven) What does one say when they’re asked to describe a person you love oh so deeply inside. So as you are listening mom you’ll know what is meant How you are a precious gift who was heaven sent. Your love has never been more at play Than the days God sent your daughters your way. You adoringly named them Laura, Nancy and Molly You love them dearly…they are your dollies. Dear mom, what makes you so admirable to me is your big heart, your faith and generosity. Christian values are always present in your daily life You taught us to serve God…and pray in times of joy and strife. My heart beats with yours…and I share your soul You’ve brightened my world and you’ve made me whole. Our bond is unbreakable…bound tight by love We’re connected by heart, soul and heaven above. You’re brave and you’re strong, funny and wise You always treated us girls like we won the first prize. You’re playful and fun, caring and kind.
