Roberta Parks

Roberta "Bert" Parks, age 72 of Belmont, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, July 2, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, George Parks; parents, Robert and Maxine Pyard. Surviving are her children, Jeff (Connie Mooney) Parks, Nicole (Michael) Shick; grandchildren, Nina Parks and Michael Wilson; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Renae (Bob) Teesdale; brothers, Rob (Linda) Pyard, Tim (Linda) Pyard; many nieces and nephews. Bert was an active member of Assumption BVM Church and took pleasure working funeral luncheons. She also enjoyed cooking, including her time working lunches at the Vestal; caring for others, especially her time spent as a nanny for the Oleneack children, and most of all spending time with her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00AM Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Assumption BVM, 6390 Belmont Ave. NE. Her family will greet relatives and friends Monday from 5PM to 7PM at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Belmont, 1601 Post Dr. NE., and one hour prior to Mass at Church on Tuesday.
