Mark Gould

GOULD - Mark Gould, age 65, passed away Monday, September 9, 2019. There aren't enough pages to describe someone like Mark Gould and we lost this irreplaceable man on September 9th, 2019, but he was doing what he loved, riding his bike under the stars with his son in God's country. Mark was not only a husband, a father, a papa, a brother, an uncle, a friend but a magnetic force to those around him. He was a Della-loving, storytelling, pickle bologna eating, pedal pushing, tequila drinking, shenanigan searching, hardworking pillar to those who knew him and met him. His laugh was contagious and he always viewed the glass half full and was willing to give the shirt off his back to those that he loved. Born on February 5th,1954 to Geraldine and Edwin, he grew up with his ten siblings and is survived by his six children and eight grandchildren. Words can't begin to describe the effect Mark had on people and the lasting effect he will continue to have. Though we won't have the opportunity to make new memories his humor and smile will live vicariously through us and the memories shared will continue to be told. The skills that he taught will be passed on from those he loved and he will forever be a part of those around him. Tequila shots will be taken in his honor and he will be thought of in our daily routine. He can now rest easy with the love of his life, Della. Though we can't imagine the thought of not having them both, there is some peace in knowing the two are together in God's memory. It's hard to write about a person's life in just a few words, especially one that was so full of love and memories. He was larger than life, strong like bull and will always hold a place in our hearts. Mark was preceded in death by his wife, Della Gould; parents, Edwin and Geraldine Gould; brother, Steven Gould. Mark is survived by his children, Jennifer Leggo, Jacob Gould, Joshua Gould, Justin Gould, Markie Dacko, Randi Gould; grandchildren, Bailey Leggo, Hayden Leggo, Reed Leggo, Marcus Gould, Mackenna Shores, Claire Dacko, Monroe Dacko, Scarlet Dacko; brothers, Christopher Gould, Kerry Gould, Robin Gould; sisters, Susan Peck, Elizabeth "Betsi" Flath, Amy Collins, Debra Porter, Lisa Portenga, Holly Lauck; many dearly loved nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will take place 2:00 PM Sunday, September 15 at Kingdom Hall, 6001 West River Drive NE, Belmont, MI. Mark's family will greet relatives and friends 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM on Saturday concluding at 2:00 PM with a time of sharing stories, memories, and scripture at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont.
