Jerry Edwin Nagelkirk

Jerry Edwin Nagelkirk, age 74, of Grandville, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 and went to spend eternity in the arms of his Savior. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Nagelkirk; parents, Luke and Pearl Nagelkirk; in-laws, August and Ethel Wagner; brother, Robert Nagelkirk; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruth and Clarence Wondergem; nephew, Dennis Wondergem; great nephew, Christopher Roth. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Brenda and Jeff Rozeveld, Barb and Jim McClurg, Craig and Lori Nagelkirk; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Alison and Josh Hoekstra (Colton, Charlotte), Megan and James Karsten, Jason and Erin Nagelkirk, Kyle McClurg, Hannah Rozeveld and fiance, Ben Sutton, Joel Nagelkirk, Andrew McClurg, Jill Rozeveld; sister, Nancy and Glenn Gelderloos; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bernice “Bea” Nagelkirk, Bruce and Cindy Wagner; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday 11 am at Lee Street Christian Reformed Church, 1261 Lee St. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Kent Rottman and Rev. Jim Boer officiating. Interment Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Lee Street Christian Reformed Church or the King’s Choraliers Male Chorus.

Although saddened at reading about brother Jerry's passing, I am grateful for the testimony his life was for his love for Jesus. I am grateful for the 10 years I was able to share with Jerry singing in The King's Choraliers. I am sorry that I will not be able to participate in the memorial service on Friday. Blessings to his family and loved ones.

I was sorry to hear of Jerry's passing but rejoice with him as he joined the heavenly choir. I worked with Jerry at Wilbert Vault Co. where he was the character behind the counter. I will miss him

My condolences to Jerry's family. He was a good man and a long time King's Choralier. He will be missed. I regret not being able to attend and participate in his funeral. Our loss is heaven's gain. Blessings.

It has been awhile since I have seen/talked to my friend, Jerry. He and I along with others graduated together from Grand Rapids Christian in 1961. Although I was not in the Band (Trombone, I think)as he was, we were friends starting in the 10th grade. We parted way at graduation but found each other much later when he was part on the King's Chorliers and I was in the MET. Choir. May I offer "Blessings" at you time of sorrow.
