Ilene Ruth Palma, age 91, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 16, 2018. Ilene was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Palma; infant brother, Andrew Jerry Vlasman; sister, Doretta Bouwkamp; and brother-in-law, William Bouwman.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, William and Dawn Palma, Gail and Steve Ibershof, Robert and Jan Palma, Marcia and Marten Vegter; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Eldean Bouwman; brother, David Vlasman; sisters-in-law, Ruth Palma, Shirley Palma, Lillian Palma; brother-in-law, Cornelius Bouwkamp; and many nieces and nephews. Ilene was a long-time member of Lee Street Christian Reformed Church.  She was a loving mother and grandmother, and holding babies was her greatest joy.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Kent Rottman officiating.  Interment Grandville Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5-8 pm and Wednesday from 10-10:45 am prior to the service at the funeral home.
