Ilene R. Palma

Ilene Ruth Palma, age 91, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 16, 2018. Ilene was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Palma; infant brother, Andrew Jerry Vlasman; sister, Doretta Bouwkamp; and brother-in-law, William Bouwman.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, William and Dawn Palma, Gail and Steve Ibershof, Robert and Jan Palma, Marcia and Marten Vegter; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Eldean Bouwman; brother, David Vlasman; sisters-in-law, Ruth Palma, Shirley Palma, Lillian Palma; brother-in-law, Cornelius Bouwkamp; and many nieces and nephews. Ilene was a long-time member of Lee Street Christian Reformed Church.  She was a loving mother and grandmother, and holding babies was her greatest joy.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Kent Rottman officiating.  Interment Grandville Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5-8 pm and Wednesday from 10-10:45 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice or bring an unwrapped toy or contribution to Fill the Fountain-The Jason Kinzler Family First Foundation.
