Gloria Azzarello

AZZARELLO, GLORIA 8/7/1929 - 12/4/2016 Gloria Azzarello, aged 87, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016. Gloria was preceded in death by her father, Frank Azzarello; mother, Josephine Azzarello; sisters, Lucy Azzarello, Rose Azzarello, Marianne Azzarello, Victoria Elrod; brothers, Paul Azzarello, Frankie Azzarello Jr., Anthony Azzarello, Joseph Azzarello. Gloria graduated from Catholic Central High School and Southeastern State College, Durant, Oklahoma, with a Bachelor's degree in Education. She received her Master's degree at Michigan State. Gloria was first a teacher, then principal of Kelloggsville Middle School. She was fondly known as ‘Miss A.' Gloria loved to cook and was always taking treats to meetings and church. She was a lifelong member of our Lady of Sorrows Church. She is survived by her sister, Joanne Terranova; many nieces and nephews across the country; dear friend, Connie Amante, and special friend/caretaker Mary Alice Stanley. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:00 am, Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 101 Hall St SE. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave, and one hour prior to Mass on Saturday at Church. Prayers of the Rosary will be recited at 7:30PM Friday at the funeral chapel.
