Patricia VandenBosch, age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Patricia opened her heart to the Lord and Savior when she was ten years old and has walked with Him ever since. Working hard growing up, Patricia started babysitting at age ten, then worked at the Leonard Street Farmers Market until age twelve when she became a bookkeeper at an insurance agency. In her late teens she met Allen, a Sunday School teacher, who invited her to a hymn sing for their first date. After her mom’s approval, Allen always said he “never had a chance after that.” Patricia was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Allen VandenBosch; parents, Peter and Margaret Tol; parents-in-law, Larry and Josephine VandenBosch; brothers, Jim Tol and Peter Tol; brother-in-law, Lee and Jan VandenBosch and Roger Groot. She will be lovingly remembered by her children and grandchildren, David and Shirley VandenBosch (Jacob, Amber and John), Karrie Arzamastsev (Jordan-Luke, Meshak, Codey, Taber, Trace), Beth and David Timmer (Heather, Jonathan and Samantha); great-grandsons, Zachary and Elijah; sister, Marilyn Groot; brother, Bill Tol; sister-in-law, Jean and Nelson Herrema, and Amalie and Richard Fase; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at South Grandville Christian Reformed Church, 4130 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, with Rev. Daniel Mouw officiating. Burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Tuesday, November 3 from 5-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
