My dearest sympathy to the Shira family and friends. I am Jerry's brother-in-law. My continued prayers also at this time. The service was a great tribute to the man Fred was. He loved Jesus truly. It sure showed through the stories told at the service. What a devout Christian, husband, father, and friend to many! I thought it was just remarkable how he loved the church and how he'd invite whomever to the church. Again, my sympathy and prayers.

Norma and Family. I’m so sorry to hear of Fred’s passing. He was truly a man of God. I’ve known him many many years. I believe Jerry was about 15 when Fred introduced his Son Jerry to us as a drummer. He was always very supportive of Jerry every time he played. Truly a great story teller. He will be missed. My prayers are with you all at this time. Karen

Norma and Family, we were so sorry to hear of Fred's passing away. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. May you sense God's love, goodness, and grace in the days and months ahead! We remember Fred as being one who was in the know of what was going on in the world and around the church. He was faithful to God and to others! He was very good at welcoming people and getting to know their names, etc. He was an excellent churchman! Norma, it's an example to all of us for the love and devotion you and Fred had for 65 years! We have fond memories of you all and are thankful for your love and service to God! Love you!

"Well done thy good and faithful servant". Those are the words Fred is hearing today. He will truly be missed by all of us. Such a faithful servant of God. Dave remembers Fred as the very first person who greeted him the first time we visited Clyde Park Church of the Nazarene. Fred loved to deliver bulletins to those who missed church. He loved his church and served with a joyful heart. I don't think he missed many Sundays or Wednesdays during his lifetime. He would call me to let me know when there were special events at the church. He always called me when he had a financial or tax question and l always looked forward to visiting he and Norma for our annual tax preparation. I am so sorry that he had to be a victim of this terrible COVID. Norma, my prayers are with you and the entire family during this sad time. May God comfort you and give you peace. Please know that you are loved!

Shira family... While we celebrate Fred’s victory, please know that we sincerely care about the loss you feel. Sometimes it helps if someone simply says, “I care.” We do. When we remember and have spoken of Fred and our days of service together at Clyde Park, one word that comes to mind is “faithful.” That is to be celebrated!! Our thoughts and prayers are with you now and in the days ahead. You remain special to us. Pastor Randy and Stephanie McCall
