Douglas Callaghan

CALLAGHAN, Douglas "Doug" Callaghan, age 81, formerly of Comstock Park, Michigan, passed away on Saturday March 7, 2020. Doug was born on February 24, 1939 to Rose (Aston) and Theodore "Ted" Callaghan of Newport, Wales UK. Doug was preceded in death by his dad, Ted Callaghan and his mom, Rose (Aston) Callaghan; wife, Patricia J (Carless) Callaghan, (2015). He is survived by his 4 children, Chris (Sally) Callaghan, Julie (Doug) Callaghan-Johnson, Peter (Mary) Callaghan, and Michelle (Marty) Callaghan-Hale; 9 grandchildren; sister, Edwina (Callaghan) Francis; many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins in the UK. Doug worked for over 30 years in the lithographic printing industry and served in the Corps of Engineers in England. He enjoyed sailing, boating, listening to country and western music, and the finer things in life. The family would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff at the Yorkshire and Stonebridge Manors Senior Living Facilities in Walker, Michigan. By the request of the family there will not be visitation or a funeral. Cremation with interment of ashes will occur at a later date.
