Aguirre, Doris Anne Doris Anne (Stucki) Aguirre was born May 5, 1936 in Monticello, Wisconsin. She was born again in 1957 . . . and from that day on faithfully loved and served her Savior throughout her life. In her final battle with cancer, she fought a good fight, finished her course, and kept the faith. He welcomed her Home on December 5, 2013. Doris grew up and attended schools in southwest Wisconsin. She attended the Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music and was a Missionary in Argentina. There, she met her husband, Evangelista Felipe (Philip) Aguirre. They were married on March 17, 1966 and became parents of three children. In 1972 the family moved to the US and settled in Grand Rapids. Where they have lived up to the present time. Doris was a homemaker, a loving mother to their children, and a devoted grandmother to their 10 grandchildren. She and her husband pastored a church for a time. Doris was a friendly, outgoing person and had many friends who loved her. She was always available to people, willing to stop whatever she was doing to help someone in need. Their home was always open and everyone was warmly welcomed. They graciously provided housing for visiting relatives, missionaries and others who needed a home. She had contact with a wide range of other Christians and had a gift of bringing pastors and missionaries into contact with one another for mutual benefit and blessing. During her illness she experienced amazing grace and strength that she attributed to God. The peace of God was upon her and she was at rest even in the face of a terminal diagnosis. She was a woman of prayer and faith, a member of New Beginnings Church in Sparta. Doris is survived by her husband, Philip; daughter, Dora and Abel Barajas; son, Peter Ruben and Christina Aguirre; ten grandchildren, Victor, Hope, Chrissy, Joel, Linnea, Eliana, Katlyn, Moriah, Ethan, and Grace; great-grandchild, Aryon; three sisters and one brother, Louise Stucki of MI; Ruth Farrell of WI; Margaret Pippin of TX; Frederick Stucki of MI; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Clara Stucki and a daughter, Christine Aguirre. There will be an immediate and private burial service by invitation only. As well as a memorial service open to all on Thursday, December 12, at 4:00 PM at the Home School Building, 5625 Burlingame Ave SW Wyoming, Mi.

I credit her prayer petitions before our King, on my behalf, for paving the way for me to recognize what a sinner I was. As a young teenager, she didn't judge me from where and what I'd been but as a child of God. The seeds she planted in my heart, God used to bloom in my life and multiply blessings. My prayers go out to you all in the loss yet I take great comfort in knowing she is now with our Lord. Kathy

This is a hymnal that mom placed in her life story. I think this represents her love for family, life, friends and savior. All the way my Savior leads me; What have I to ask beside? Can I doubt His tender mercy, Who through life has been my Guide? Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort, Here by faith in Him to dwell! For I know, whate’er befall me, Jesus doeth all things well, For I know, whate’er befall me, Jesus doeth all things well. All the way my Savior leads me, Cheers each winding path I tread, Gives me grace for every trial, Feeds me with the living bread. Though my weary steps may falter, And my soul athirst may be, Gushing from the Rock before me, Lo! a spring of joy I see, Gushing from the Rock before me, Lo! a spring of joy I see. All the way my Savior leads me; Oh, the fullness of His grace! Perfect rest to me is promised In my Father’s blest embrace. When my spirit, clothed immortal, Wings its flight to realms of day, This my song through endless ages: Jesus led me all the way, This my song through endless ages: Jesus led me all the way.
