Donald Werkema

WERKEMA - Donald Jack Werkema Sr. age 88 passed away April 16, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Marcella Werkema, his sister Thelma Karnes and his son Larry Werkema. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Phyllis Werkema; along with his children, Donald (Linda) Werkema Jr., Rick (Linda) Werkema, Tim Werkema, John (Cheryl) Werkema; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews. Don was a Graduate of Creston High School and retired as the Grounds Superintendent of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens for which he will reside. Don shared his great love of Roller Skating with his wife Phyllis. They enjoyed camping, traveling to beautiful places and special times with friends. Don was blessed in his golden years, always enjoying a smile from someone. His passing was peaceful with his wife Phyllis, his children and loved ones by his side. Per his request cremation has taken place. No services will be held.
