If you were to look for the perfect "Mr. Nice Guy" you wouldn't have to look any further than Dave Tietema, the perfect gentleman. We were golf partners for many years and friends even longer. Dave and I would meet and talk every night after he got through work at Spartan Stores. We had many great times together. I have more memories of Dave than I do of most of my other friends. I will miss you buddy. Semper Fi. R.I.P.

To the great Tietema family, I was saddened to learn of Dave's passing. What a great person, friend and damn good football player in high school. He was one of Ted Sowle's "guinea pigs" being one of the first players to wear Ted's original face mask which broke in half the first time he wore it. Dave you will be missed.
