Alyce Kirvan

Alyce (Baines) Kirvan- age 79. On July 16, 2017, Alyce went to her promised land to be forever joined with her Lord and Savior, as well as, her husband Dick Kirvan. Less than a year after Dick passed away Alyce became ill and never recovered. She spent the last 4-1/2 years on a ventilator at Summit City Nursing and Rehabilitation in Ft. Wayne, IN; they did an amazing job meeting her needs. Alyce so appreciated the visits of the Joe and Kanoshia Lengacher family, and friend Ian Delaney who would read the Bible and pray with her. Alyce is survived by her five children...Nancy (James) Reamsma, Richard (Laura) Kirvan Jr., Kenneth (Diane) Kirvan, Janet (Jeffrey) Mortz all from the Grand Rapids, MI area and David (Pam) Kirvan of Fort Wayne, IN, fifteen grand children, thirteen great-grand children whom she adored, two brothers Larry (Marilyn) Baines of Medford, OR, John Baines of Grand Rapids, MI, along with nieces, nephews and several dear friends. Alyce was preceded in death by parents Harry & Dorthy Baines of Rockford, MI. Alyce lived most of her life in the West Michigan area. She graduated from Rockford High School with the class of 1956. She married Dick a year later and started their family. They were married fifty-four years. God and family were the most important things to Alyce. Her greatest wish was that everyone she loved would someday meet her again in heaven. A memorial service will be held in celebration of Alyce's life Saturday, September 9th, 2017, at 1 pm at DayStar Ministries, 2220 Three Mile Rd NE, Grand Rapids, MI.
