Zachary Alan Nelson

Zachary Nelson, age 29, of Hudsonville, went to be with his Lord on Friday, May 14, 2021. Zak was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and friend. He enjoyed hunting, fixing cars and motorcycles, drawing, cooking, woodworking, and helping others. Zak was hardworking, caring, enthusiastic, and cared especially for his family. Anyone who knew Zak knew he had a heart of gold. He was there at the drop of a hat for anyone who needed him. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William Nelson and Duane Mensch. Zak will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Alan Nelson, Michelle and Chan Bolhuis; siblings, Erica and Jim VanLoo, Amanda Nelson, Alyssa Nelson, Avery Nelson, and Sophie Bolhuis; nephews, Dylan, Max, Jude, and Jace; niece, Elyana; grandparents, Marlene Mensch, Rosemary Nelson, Dave and Joyce Bolhuis; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 11 am at ResLife Church, 5100 Ivanrest Ave SW, Grandville (please use doors E or H) with Pastor Jake Blauwkamp officiating. Burial Jamestown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday, May 18 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at church.
