Yvonne Raye Terpstra, age 79, of Allendale, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 24, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 56 years, Larry Terpstra; children, Jeff and Jodi Terpstra, Darcy and Nick Ceglarek, Mark and Carol Terpstra; four grandchildren, Colson, Zane, Isabella, Ryan; brother, Jack and Ruth Snyder; sisters-in-law, Linda and Scott Wingler, Karen Terpstra; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Roger Terpstra. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Spring Valley Church, 5947 Lake Michigan Dr., Allendale, with Rev. Rob Wondergem officiating. A private burial will take place at Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday, June 28, from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf, 6651 Scott St., Allendale. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society (Research).

I just learned of Vonne's passing today, I worked with Vonnie in Allendale at the elementary and she was the sweetest person. I will always remember her loving personality and keep her always in my heart. She is one of the people that helped me learn that kids always need to know you care whether they are yours or not. Prayers to her family.
