Yvonne Spaans

SPAANS - Yvonne June Spaans, age 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. She was a retired ‘lunch lady' in the Wyoming Public School system. She enjoyed bird watching, being up north, adventurous trips and her genealogy detective works. Yvonne was a spirited individual with a love for learning about history and nature. She liked an eclectic range of music and arts. She was married in 1954 to her beloved husband of 58 years, Jack E. Spaans Sr. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Alice Cady; husband, Jack E. Spaans Sr.; brother, Marvin Cady; sisters, Norma Randall and Bonnie VanDyke. Yvonne is survived by her children, Jack, Leslie, Dean and Todd: 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 10 AM to 11 AM Monday, June 10 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont. Memorial Services for Yvonne will be held at 11:00 AM with a luncheon to follow in the funeral chapel banquet room. A private interment will follow the luncheon at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association or Alzheimer's Foundation.
