Yvonne Renee Aleisa

April 2, 1961 ~
June 14, 2024

Yvonne Renee Aleisa was born on April 2, 1961, on the air force base in Anchorage, Alaska. She passed away on the morning of June 14, 2024, at the age of 63 after battling breast cancer for nearly two years. She was surrounded by her family.

Renee is survived by her loving husband, Khaled “Baba” Aleisa; her siblings, Debra, Richard (Lori) , Patti (Gary), Terri, Don (Isle), Tim (Carol), Elizabeth, Ron (Chris), Larry (Laura), and Cindy; her children, Amirah (Eric), Mo (Emily), Mish (Kara), Rishad (Olivia), and Cherish (Jeremiah); and her ten grandchildren, Jonah, Cate, Maddy, Eli, Marcus, James, Eleanor, Jude, Remi, and Zara. Khaled and Renee met in 1979 during Renee’s senior year of high school and began their life together a few years later. They filled their home with unconditional love and joy for their children and everyone who walked through their door.

Renee loved children and devoted much of her time to them. Shortly after getting married, she started an in-home daycare, becoming a blessing to many families by providing a safe and nurturing environment for their children, treating each child as her own. As her own children began to have kids, Renee became an integral part of their lives, expanding her talents beyond childcare by starting her own photo studio. She spent her years caring for others and capturing special moments. Her children recognized the immense blessing she had been in their lives and wanted her to be a significant part of their children’s lives as well. Although the younger generation was fortunate to spend a few years with their grandma, we are deeply saddened that they will not have the opportunity to fully experience firsthand the incredible woman of faith she was and the depth of her unconditional love.

Renee’s heart was filled with Christ’s love, which she generously shared with everyone she spoke to, volunteering her time and talents to all. She frequently had visitors and spent much of her time on the phone with friends and family. Renee had a unique way of making you feel seen and loved despite your flaws, creating a safe and comfortable space where you could share things you wouldn’t even tell your own mother or closest friends. She was an inspiration and a pillar of faith for all of us. Renee welcomed friends and family into her home whenever they needed a place to stay, and we believe she will be the first in line to welcome us all into heaven with open arms and a big smile.

Renee was a very special person, a blessing to all who knew her, a true Christian friend and Christian example to us all. We had not seen each other as much as when our kids were young and at Holy Trinity. She will be missed.

I will miss knowing you are here. Even though we didn't see each other as much as when our kids were young, I find a hole in the world. I so envied and admired your gentle spirit and Christian example. I am looking forward to seeing you at Jesus feet.

Renee got it right. She always put people before things and kept God first in her life. Miles didn't matter when it came to seeing and supporting her family. She made Khaled’s home, her home. She spent endless hours driving carpool for her children. She flew, drove, and made herself available in any possible way to impact the lives of her grandchildren. Her love for her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, and extended family was visible in her selfless acts throughout her life. As a a friend, I like to think that from the moment we met, we clicked. She was a wonderful listener. She would drop everything if I needed to talk. She was someone with whom I could share my deepest feelings and concerns. She never judged, always forgave, and made me feel better just by being with her. She truly had the gift of building relationships. Our family will forever be blessed by the wonderful pictures she took at the girls’ weddings. She captured emotions, not just events. Sharing her faith was vitally important to Renee. Not only sharing, but also building up her faith by studying and reading God's Word daily. What an example and what a witness for all of us. I'm so glad to know that she won the victory of the crown of life and I can't wait to see her again in heaven where there are no more tears, no more pain or sickness, no more sadness, and no more sin. 1 Corinthians 15: 54-57 “ But once this perishable body has put on imperishability, and this mortal body has put on immortality, then what is written will be fulfilled, ‘Death is swallowed up in victory. Death, where is your sting? Grave, where is your victory?’ The sting of death is sin and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” Knowing that Renee is experiencing the perfection of heaven makes my heart so happy for her, even while we will greatly miss her presence here in our lives. Loving thoughts and countless prayers continue for your family. May Jesus give you the peace that Renee treasured so much in her life. With loving thoughts, Lynn Sellnow

Renee was such a supportive and integral part of the first two decades of my life. I have a deep respect for her; her spiritual guidance was non-judgmental, freeing, and full of care. She truly was a safe space, a human being who emanated love. Sending much love to Baba, the whole Al-eisa family, and Catered Creations family.
