Yvonne M. Smith

Yvonne M. Smith, age 61, of Grandville, went into the loving arms of the Lord on Thursday, August 24, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, David; father, Donald Gary; father-in-law, Ted Smith. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jennifer and Derrick Potter, Greg and Megan Smith, LeAnn Smith (Aaron Parr); grandchildren, Megan, Shelby and Hunter Potter, Norah and Mary Smith; mother, Delores Gary; brother, Kevin and Alice Gary; mother-in-law, Betty Dunette; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dean and Terri Smith, Mark and Debra Smith; several nieces and nephews. Yvonne enjoyed spending many weekends with family and lifelong friends up at Wolf Lake. She was an avid Grandville High School Bulldog football fan, and was very supportive of her grandchildren’s sporting events. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 29th at 11 am at Zion Reformed Church (4457 36th St., Grandville), with Pastor Rick Vander Wall officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW and on Tuesday one hour prior to service at church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Zion Reformed Church or American Cancer Society.
