Wynona “Nonie” DeVries

Wynona “Nonie” Beth (Bolkema) DeVries, age 88, of Byron Center, entered into peace on Friday, November 6, 2020. She was born in McBain, MI and later moved to Grand Rapids, MI. She loved using her gifts and talents of a seamstress and owned her own business, “Custom Draperies”. She liked keeping her mind busy by being an avid reader, solving  puzzles, and supporting the Detroit Tigers. She liked helping others, by serving her church and community. Nonie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She  was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Henry; siblings, Grace, Willie, Nelva, Norma, and Harve. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ruth and Marv Veltkamp, Chuck and Sandi DeVries, Wes and Amy DeVries, Mary Lee and Jeff Anderson; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Reva, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 11 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Ron Noorman officiating.  Burial Winchester Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Tuesday from 10-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home.
