Wilma Jeanne Tait

Wilma Jeanne Tait, age 76, of Wyoming was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, December 15, 2022. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hazel Porter; brother, Frank Porter; sister, Sally Hough; sister-in-law, Sue Porter. She is survived by her sons, Hans Tait, Sean Tait, Bob (Amy) Karel; grandchildren, Rebecca, Jordan (MacKenzie) Karel; brother, Albert Porter; nephew, Paul; nieces, Sue Hoogerhyde, Kathy Butcher, Christie Weaver. Wilma was a long time employee of the City of Wyoming in the Accounting Department. She valiantly served our country in the U.S. Army. She enjoyed planting and tending her flower garden and was certified as a Master Gardener by the Michigan State University Extension Service. She had a servant’s heart and was engaged in many volunteer activities, including with the West Michigan Humane Society, several Mission Thrift Stores, and the John Ball Zoo. Funeral Service will be held at 11am Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 10-11am before the services. Burial will be held at Rosedale Memorial Park. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the West Michigan Humane Society.
