Willis “Bill” Leroy Crothers

Willis “Bill” Crothers, age 85, of Rockford was called home by his Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 19, 2024.  He was born January 16, 1939 to the late Willis and Idella Crothers. He was preceded in death by his sister, June Walker; brother, Dan  Crothers, daughters; Lisa Crothers and Sheila Penland. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Maggie; children, Tom (Bonnie), Jeff (Jan), Scott (April);  grandchildren: Ryan (Kelsey), Kaylee (Spencer), Josh (Taylor), other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Sue Jones; and several nieces and nephews. Bill retired from Rapistan and Amway.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and bike riding.  Bill always had a good joke. He loved telling stories, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Richard C. Malone Council #8564 and a 4th Degree Member of Assembly #2226, Belmont, MI. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 28, 2024  at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4351 Parnell Ave. NE, Ada, with Father Thomas Cavera officiating with burial at St. Patrick Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family at the church on Saturday  from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
