William Schuring

William H. Schuring, age 95, of Grandville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30, 2023. Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His love for watching college basketball grew from being an excellent player in his early years. Bill took great pride in his flower gardens. Growing up, Bill worked on the celery farm and had many wonderful stories. His favorite words of encouragement to his family were, “We will get there”. Finally, Bill “made it there”, and is living with his Lord and one day will welcome his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 72 years, Ruth; children, Patricia and Bill Glawe, Doug and Rachel Schuring, Bob Schuring, Kathy and Bill DeBoer; granddaughters, Joanna DeBoer, Martha DeBoer; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Brian Boom officiating. A private family burial will take place at Boynton Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family 10-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Camp Geneva.
