William S. Lipski

William S. Lipski, age 70 of Kentwood, was called to his heavenly home following a lengthy illness on Saturday, October 15, 2016. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Dwain Schott; and nephew, Daryl Mohn. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lipski; children, Adam (Carmen) Lipski, Deborah Lipski, Michael Lipski; stepchildren, Amethyst Schott, Christopher Schott; sisters, Patricia (Robert) Mohn, Marianne David; brothers, Raymond (Phyllis) Lipski, Bobby Lipski; grandchildren, Jordan Lipski, Tyler Lipski, Ciel Schott; and several nieces and nephews.Bill proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine during the Vietnam Era. One of Bill’s greatest pleasures was to watch his little granddaughter Ciel grow and develop. He often visited the different casinos throughout the State to try his luck. He enjoyed family outings along the Muskegon River where he would play cards with his father-in-law, Tom. Bill was a dedicated employee of Steelcase Corporation, retiring after 38 years of service. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming with Fr. Jegar Fickel, celebrant. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to the service. Inurnment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Degage Ministries.
