William McArthur

MCARTHUR- William “Bill” Jay McArthur aged 72 of Byron Center passed away Monday, December 7, 2020. His parents, Richard and Marjorie McArthur, precede him in death. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Bobette “Bobbi” McArthur; son, Richard (Stormie Salas) McArthur; step son, Rob Clay; grandchildren, Tatyana McArthur, Noah (Lynda) McArthur, Tobias Clay; great grandchildren, Owen and Brynleigh; sisters, Mary McArthur and Terrie (James) Friar. Cats, Katie Todd and Ziva David, extended family, friends, and classmates, will sadly miss him.  Bill was a lover of fine cars, speed and the excitement they brought with them. Whether a classic, a hot rod or muscle car he loved them all. He and Bobbi also enjoyed the two-wheel life of motorcycles, often volunteering to run chase and helping with breakdowns on various runs. He enjoyed cooking and made a mean chili for the Roadbed Ministries’ Chili contests. Bill loved to play Santa to kids and “furry kids” bringing joy and love with him wherever he volunteered. He thoroughly loved a good cup of coffee and was a regular at Roadbed’s coffee shop, both in front of and behind the counter, and he loved the Tuesday Morning bunch whenever they would meet. Bill was a retired Locksmith at AB Lock and Safe and more than once used his skills to help others with them.  His sense of humor and soft voice will be missed by so many. Per his request, cremation has taken place and a memorial event is pending. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Bill's name to Roadbed Ministries, 1560 112th Ave., Otsego, MI 49078 which he loved so much.
