William Hulst

William A. Ver Hulst (Crawley) Died April 8, 2017 after a long illness at the age of 77. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruth Ver Hulst. Brothers, Gerald, Donald and Barney Ver Hulst and his sister, Frankie Kidd. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sandra. Daughter, Jodi (David) Schafer; sons, William and Steven (Leslie) Ver Hulst and his sister, Marilynn (Jimmy) Kenyon as well as his beloved grandchildren, Tara (Nick) Weber, Samantha Blakeslee, Sunshine, Jerad and Summer Ver Hulst and his only great grandchild, Cohen Grover. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Judy and Jackuelyne Ver Hulst and several nieces and nephews. Bill had a strong passion for the outdoors and was a sports enthusiast. When he was not hunting or fishing, he could often be found at the ball park, golfing or at the race track. Mackinaw Island also held a special place in his heart. The celebration of Bill's life will be held 11:00AM on Thursday April 13, 2017 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Wyoming, 3131 S. Division. Family and friends are welcome to come for visitation at 10:00am with a memorial service immediately following at 11:00am. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has already taken place.
