William Hofman

William “Bill” Hofman, age 92, of Jenison, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, November 21, 2024. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Theressa “Tres” Hofman; children, William “Bill” and Joan Hofman, Tom and Darla Hofman, Melissa and Doug Looyenga; grandchildren, Katelyn and Zane VanMiddlekoop, Jeff and Grace Hofman, Jill and Jeremy Essenburg, Michelle and Edwin Kok, Jacob Hofman, Emily and Luis Rivera, Stephanie and Brandon Daling, Justin and Madalyn Looyenga, Nicholas and Emily Looyenga, and Ethan Looyenga; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his six siblings. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed camping, being an elder in the church, and spending time with his family. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 26, at 10 a.m. at First Protestant Reformed Church, 2800 Michigan St. NE, Grand Rapids, with Rev. Joseph Holstege officiating. The burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, November 25, from 4-7 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Tuesday from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Adams Christian School or Faith Hospice.
