William A. Hazlett, age 90, of Wyoming, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020. Bill was a loving and caring father, and grandfather, who loved spending time with others and spreading his positivity to everyone. He proudly served in the US Army.  Bill loved to spend time both playing and watching sports, especially golf, bowling, and baseball and was inducted into the Greater Grand Rapids Bowling Hall of Fame.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed cooking his own food in the kitchen and always found a reason to use the fryer if he could.  In his down time, he also loved collecting and building items with Legos, amassing quite a collection.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Marva; sisters and brother-in-law, Pat and Wes Ross, and Mary Higgins. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his children, John Hazlett, Jim Hazlett, Joe and Karen Hazlett, Jeff Hazlett; grandchildren, Hudson, Maria, Zian Hazlett, Samuel, Andrew, Jonathan Leppala; brother-in-law, Jim Higgins; several nieces, nephews, and special friends. A time of memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 16, from 4-7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Burial Rosedale Memorial Park.
