William F. Van Til Sr., age 81 of Wyoming, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Bessy; twin brother, Walter R., brother, Alfred and sister, Anne Alkema. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Virginia (Bosse); his children, Vivian Joy (Kerry) Prelwitz, Doreen Lynn Van Til, Sandra Lee (Daniel) Oakley. William F. Van Til Jr., Brian Keith (Betty) Van Til, Bradley Allen (Korinia) Van Til; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Marge (Pete) Eckert; sister-in-law, Marion Van Til; many nieces and nephews. William retired from Reynolds Aluminum after 30 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and was loved by many. William loved camping at Wilderness State Park. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service was held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

We extend our sympathy to Virginia and the family. We have lots of great memories of Willie and Vir since Glenn is a first cousin. It is too bad that time lets us drift apart. So sorry for your loss.
