William Jay “Bill” Nyeholt, age 89, of Jenison, passed away peacefully to be with his Lord on Friday, February 3, 2023. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Bill was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army. His life was marked as a quiet, humble servant, who cherished his family, especially his wife, Nancy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Henry Nyeholt. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years, Nancy; daughters, Sue and Bob Westdorp, Laurie and Randy Brower; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; siblings, Dave and Sandy Nyeholt, Ruth and Jim Hasper; sisters-in-law, Char Nyeholt, and Marie Morse; and his nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. The burial will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to express their thanks to Sunset Manor and Spectrum Health Hospice for the wonderful care given to Bill.
