William “Bill” DeVries

William “Bill” DeVries, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 14, 2017. He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma DeVries. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 8 ½ years, Julie; his daughters, Kristin DeVries, Rebekah DeVries, Laura (Jeff) Sneller, Sandi (Bill) Harms; ten grandkids; parents, Nelson (Vera) DeVries; siblings, Jeanne (Ron) Duthler, Tom (Yvonne) DeVries, Helen (Pete) Flikweert; many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Bill was active in his Model A car clubs, Dusty Wheel A’s and Portside A’s. He was a longtime active member of Fair Haven Church. Bill faithfully drove for 25 years for Van Eerden Trucking. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, December 19, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Allendale), 6651 Scott St. Interment Allendale Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Sunday from  2-4 pm and Monday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.   Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Mark and Rebecca Essenberg, ℅ Gold Ave. CRC, 49 Gold Ave. NW, Grand Rapids, for children and youth missions.
