WILLARD - Mr. Willard W. Watson aged 84 of Wyoming, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Ellen Watson; brother-in-law, Charles Heemstra. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Evelyn; children, Cathy Kooistra, Steve Watson; grandchildren, Jeff (Jeanna) Watson, Kayla Watson; sisters-in-law, Jo Fenske, Emma Abma and Bessie Heemstra. Willard retired from the City of Grand Rapids Fire Department #1 after 41 years of service. He loved to bowl and play golf and loved his grandkids. Willard was proud to have served his country during the Korean War in the US Air Force. Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave, Wyoming. The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral chapel.
