Wilhelmina VanderMaas Wilhelmina Vander Maas, age 99, of Grand Rapids went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 13, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, sons, Robert, Richard and Willem, great granddaughters, Madelyn and Jalyssa. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Luke (Vera), Henry (Sandra), Case (Carol), Ron (Darlene), daughter-in-law, Jayne. 15 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Wilhelmina and Leonard immigrated to the US from the Netherlands in the late 1940’s. Wilhelmina was an industrious, hard-working woman who had a deep abiding faith in God. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was determined to accomplish whatever she chose, even learning to drive a car at the age of 60. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 11 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE with Pastor Andrew VanderMaas officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday, and 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment Rosedale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Raybrook Manor, 2121 Raybrook SE

Since we just drove to our Florida Home last week, Connie and I are unable to be with you at this time. Your mother will always be remembered as a sweet gentle person.
