Wilamae Bockstahler

Wilamae Bockstahler, age 86, of Caledonia passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Ralph. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Diana (Michael) Kooistra, Marjorie (Steve) Habegger, Mary (Edward) Brayton; special family friend, Phyllis (Mike) Andrusiak and family; grandchildren, Adam Habegger, Sarah (Jon) Morgan, Kelly (Tim) Weber, Amanda Doty; many great grandchildren; sister, Greta Solomonson; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Gowans, Barbara Herkner; several nieces and nephews. Wila enjoyed the outdoors, loved gardening and walking the beach in Leland, MI and wintered at her condo in Florida. She was a teacher’s aide for 22 years for Caledonia Public Schools. Wila was a dedicated member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, participated in Ladies Aid, Bell Choir and LWML. Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday, April 20, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 8436 Kraft Ave. SE, Caledonia with Pastor David Miller officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 4-7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main St. SE, Caledonia, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at church. Burial and committal service at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cedar, MI, to be held at a later date with Rev. Dr. Timothy Brandt officiating. The family would like to thank Faith Hospice of Trillium Woods for her end-of-life care. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St Paul’s Ladies Aid or to the American Cancer Society.
