Wayne Stoffers Sr.

Wayne J. Stoffers Sr., age 87, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully from a lengthy illness on Monday, January 24, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arent and Etta (Brewer) Stoffers; son, Wayne Stoffers Jr.; and grandson, Robert Stoffers. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Stoffers; daughter, Cathleen Verbas; stepchildren, Cindy Ladewig, Roger (Lisa) Ladewig; grandchildren, Jeramiah (Nicole) DeWitt, Josef Ladewig, Joshua (Joanna) Ladewig, Jacob Ladewig; many great-grandchildren; aunt, Doris Gustinus; niece, Pam Burgess; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Wayne retired from McInerney Spring and Wire after 30 years of employment and then retired a second time from Kendall Electric. He was a very quiet, simple man who enjoyed country music and was able to complete one wish which was to learn to play the guitar. According to Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
