December 22, 2024

Warren Tice Bush, age 76, of Grand Rapids, unexpectedly passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, December 22, 2024. Warren attended Calvin College with his 2 best friends, his wife Marybeth, who he adored for 55 years of marriage, and his twin brother, Wayne.  He would have loved to spend every day golfing or playing games, and he spent every day making people laugh as the best husband, brother, father, and grandfather anyone could ask for. He spent over 35 years as the general manager at Russ’ in Wyoming and later worked at Lowes. Above all, he loved the Lord and was able to be an example of Christ through all the wonderful people in his life.  Warren and Marybeth are members at Rogers Heights and Lee St. Church where Warren served as an elder. He was preceded in death by his best friend and twin brother, Wayne Bush and his parents, Doug and Margeret Bush. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marybeth Bush; children: Matthew and Linda Bush, Nicole Leigh Blank; his grandchildren: Caleb Matthew Bush, Joshua Steven Bush; siblings: Doug and Dawn Bush, Brenda and Dave Meyers, Margie Bush, Joanne and Ted Koopmans; sister-in-law, Elaine Bush; and MANY more family members and close friends. Memorial services will be held 11 am Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Lee Street Church, 1261 Lee St. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Kent Rottman officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, January 3 from 5-7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood. I remember your husband from shopping at Lowe's. He convinced me to buy appliances when my husband wanted to buy them. Warren was always smiling whenever we saw him at Lowe's. He will be missed. Warren was the only one that my dad would buy anything from at Lowe's. He was a great man with a kind heart. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Warren was a wonderful man and coworker. His sense of humor and his kind personality had a huge impact on our customers and coworkers. He made my day at Lowes. He was a true friend. I will truly miss our talks and his delicious treats he shared with us. My favorite quote from Warren was : "Thank you for leaving". He will surely be missed. May our Lord Jesus bring peace and comfort to the Buch family. See you in Heaven Warren

I had the great pleasure golfing with Warren for the past few years on Wednesday with many of his golf buddies. He called us “buddies” which was special. Wayne would offer encouragement if you were partnered with him or teamed up against him. He always had a warm smile and excited to play. He was a true friend and will surely be missed. Prayers to the Bush family and his many friends he made.
