Walter Allen Brodock Jr.

Walter “Wally” Allen Brodock Jr, 69, of Alto, MI passed away peacefully with his family nearby. Wally succumbed to his two-year battle with lung cancer on Sunday, October 31st. He was a proud Veteran who served in the US Navy, on the USS Saratoga in the Vietnam War era. He was an active member of American Legion Post 305 and the Legion Riders. When he wasn’t working as a truck driver he could be found on the water or in the woods. He also had a tremendous love of riding motorcycles with his wife, Terri, on the back and his Legion Brothers at his side. His greatest love was being “Papa” to his grandchildren, Joyus, Kaelan and Burke and watching them participate in sports and in life. Wally always had a story or a bit of knowledge for anyone he talked to. He had a way of making strangers feel like an old friend. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Terri (Rich); their children, Judy, Jay and his wife, Ashley (Van Eck); three grandchildren, Joyus Miller, Kaelan Brodock and Burke Brodock all of Caledonia. He is also survived by his father, Walter Brodock Sr; siblings, Rita, Karen, and Troy; his wife’s siblings, Marian, Gib, Donna, Helen, Betty, and Frank along with their families and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther; his brothers, Eugene and Edward, his father and mother-in-law, Gilbert and Helen Rich. A celebration of life will be held from 7 to 9 pm on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at the American Legion Post 305, 9548 Cherry Valley SE, Caledonia, with military honors at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Post 305 in his honor.
