Wai K.C. Kong

Wai K.C. Kong, age 88, of Grand Rapids passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kwen Kong. Wai will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Yim Kong and son-in-law, Nate Diedrich and her great love, her grandson, Taran. A special thanks to SarahCare, Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital, and Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods for their love and support, and also for the love given out by family, friends, and neighbors. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, February 28, 2022, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Burial Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 9-11:00 am prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SarahCare (2211 E. Beltline Avenue N., Suites B&CE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525) or Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods (2100 Raybrook St. SE, Suite 300, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). The family requests that masks be worn during both the visitation and service.
