Vivian Libby

Vivian Libby, age 93, of Jenison MI, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Thursday, November 18, 2021. She was born in Rhode Island to immigrant parents from Quebec, Canada. Vivian was a dedicated wife, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed going for walks, reading, traveling and spending time in her beautiful gardens. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Herbert Libby, who died in 2018. She will be lovingly remembered by her three children,Sheryll (Greg) VanPortfleet of Saugatuck, Glen (Carolyn) Libby and Wayne Libby of Paw Paw. She also leaves three grandchildren, Matt (Stacey) VanPortfleet of Zeeland, Amy (Joseph) Schram of Grandville and Jacob Libby of Eureka CA and in addition three great-grandchildren, Meeka, Kolby and Talin VanPortfleet. Also surviving is her sister-in—law, Shirley Hovland of Connecticut. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 11:00am at Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor John Ferra officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:00am at the church. Those who wish, may make memorial contributions to either Emmanuel Hospice or Christ Lutheran Church.
