Timmer, Virginia Virgina Y. Timmer (Piers), age 84, of Jenison, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Burton; her sons, Dennis and Douglas.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Yvonne (Terry) Hall and Michael (Geri) Timmer of Grandville, Mitchell (Chris) Timmer of Hudsonville; daughters-in-law, Ruth Timmer and Dawn Timmer of Zeeland; 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; sister, Thelma Veneklasen; brother, Eugene (Marian) Piers; sister-in-law, Wilma Boeve; special life-long friend, Hester (Harold) Hinken; many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held 2 pm on Friday at Fair Haven Ministries, 2900 Baldwin St., Hudsonville, with Rev. Gary Van Koevering officiating.  A graveside service will be held 1 pm on Saturday at Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. and Friday from 1-2 pm at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Jenison Historical Association or Spectrum Health Hospice.
