Virginia M. Kris (Licari) , aged 95 of Byron Center, went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, March 7, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Edmund Licari and Edward Kris, and brother Arthur. She will be dearly missed by her children, Joe (Pat) Licari, Jerry (Jan) Licari, step-children, Leslie (Steve) Wooldridge, Andy (Chris) Kris, Jane (Bruce) Reynolds, sister, Lillian Bellgraph, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, dear friends and neighbors. Virginia was devoted to her God and St. John Vianney Church serving as President of the Home and School Association, working on the organ committee, the ladies auxiliary as well as the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with the children and grandchildren. She could often be found sitting quietly quilting and crocheting for them. She was an avid golfer who spent winters in Phoenix helping organize and run several golf leagues there. She also enjoyed playing Black Jack at the casinos. Virginia’s family would like to thank Kindred Hospice and Byron Manor for the loving care she received. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 12:00 noon, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave. SW. Family will receive friends and relatives from 4 - 8 pm Friday, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr., Grandville with a vigil Service at 6:00 PM. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. John Vianney Education Foundation.

What a wonderful grandmother. Will watch baseball and golf on TV either the guys. She was a good one. Sympathies to all the family.
