Victoria Marlene Wathen

In Loving Memory of Victoria Wathen Age 67 of Wyoming, Michigan entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, October 19, 2025.  A devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, Victoria’s life was a reflection of her unwavering faith and her deeply rooted love for God.  Her heart was firmly anchored in the promises of Scripture. She lived each day with quiet grace, prayerful devotion, and a servant’s heart that blessed her family, friends, and church community.  A faithful member of Kentwood Christian Church, Victoria found great joy in serving others and pointing them toward the hope she held in Christ. Her gentle spirit and steadfast faith left a lasting imprint on all who knew her.  To those closest to her, she was lovingly known as “Mama.” The name fit her perfectly, as her warmth, care, and open heart made everyone feel like part of her family.  She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry; her grandson, Tyler Caleb; and her mother, Elsie Bennett.  Victoria will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Joseph; her son, Joe, and his wife, Kelly Wathen; her daughter, Kristina, and her husband, KC; and her precious grandchildren, William, Samara, Victoria, Freyja, and McKenna.  A memorial service celebrating Victoria’s life and faith will be held on Saturday, November 1, with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Kentwood Christian Church located at 5841 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, MI 49508 with Pastor Patrick Gill and Pastor John Gooch officiating.  Though she will be deeply missed, we rejoice in knowing that Victoria now rests in the eternal peace and joy of her Savior’s embrace.
