CAREY - Mrs. Myrtle Viola Carey, aged 95 of Grand Rapids, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Clarence, Walter, John, Ella, Beatrice, Vera, Francis, Bernice, Marie, Laura and Alta. Surviving are her children, James Carey, Lynn Carey, Michael (Lynn) Carey, Mark (Dawn) Carey; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Clarence Riggs; sister, Lillian Clark; several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Our Lady of Sorrows, 101 Hall St. SE. With Rev. Theodore Kozlowski as celebrant. Her family will greet relatives and friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice.
