Vernetta R. VanOort

Vernetta R. VanOort, age 92, of Jenison, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 9, 2018, and is now reunited with her husband of 59 years, Richard. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Vera Griggs. Vernetta will be lovingly remembered by her children, Alan and Anne VanOort, Paul and Debbie VanOort, Mark and Dawn VanOort; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; her sisters, Vivian Anderson, Mary and Bill Berry. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW with Pastor Bruce Sabados officiating. Interment Pineview Cemetery, Vassar, Michigan. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice - Trillium Woods.
