Vera Ondersma

Vera (Hamstra) Ondersma, age 97, of Grandville, went to be with her Lord and went dancing into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. She was preceded in death by her sons, Donald James Ondersma and Arthur John Ondersma. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Joanne Ondersma, Shirley VanderBand, Mary Ondersma, Howard (Carol) Ondersma, Barbara Haggai, Marvin Ondersma, Ralph Ondersma, Steve Ondersma, Anne (Walt) Beeny; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Margaret Hamstra, Esther Penninga, Mary Prins; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Chaplain Mark Minegar. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the March of Dimes.

I am truly sorry to hear about Vera, I hope that your family will find comfort in the loving memories shared with Vera. I also hope you are comforted by the words at Acts 24:15 and Psalms 37:10,11 which tells us of the resurrection to a paradise earth. May Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ comfort your family during your loss.

Condolences from Andrew, John and Jim Shear, who used to live south of you on East Paris in Kentwood. Some of us attended Schafer School with some of you. Our mom died at 91 in 2014. They both lived good long lives and are now "catching up" in Glory.
