Valeta Jean Snyder (Lamoreaux), age 84, of Comstock Park, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Lee was an active, fun, and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Lee married her high school sweetheart, Keith Snyder, with whom they had four wonderful children. She loved to be on the river at her cottage, “Windy Point” with friends and family. She was very outgoing and would surprise you with new friends. Lee worked for Rockford Public Schools as a bus driver for over 30 years. She volunteered for the Grand Rapids Police Department for 13 years. Lee and her best friend, Dawn, enjoyed going to the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Jim Lamoreaux, Don Lamoreaux, Sheryl and Clark Hammer; brother-in-law, Russell Miller. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kathleen Snyder, Kristine Snyder, Kurt and Lisa Snyder, Kraig and Sue Snyder; grandchildren, Michelle and Eric Patrick, Kourtney and Kasey Kruithoff, Danny Snyder and his significant other, Kenzie Henningan, Reed Snyder-Buce, Trisha Snyder and significant other Blake Armstrong; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Ryann, Oliver, twins on the way; sister, Lavonne Miller; sister-in-law, Sue Lamoreaux, Lynne Lamoreaux; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1200 Alpine Church Road NW, Comstock Park, with Fr. Chris Rouech presiding. Burial will be held at Plainfield Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 10-10:45 a.m. for visitation at church prior to Mass.
