Valerie Joan Mason

Valerie Joan Mason, age 60, of Tustin, MI, passed away after battling many health issues on Friday, January 5, 2024. Valerie was a kind and generous soul. Even though she dealt with many heart issues through her life, her heart was a strength of hers and she continued to show how big it was through her care of others before herself. Valerie often gave of her time and resources to help others through hard times even as she experienced hard times herself. The biggest gift that she could give was making others laugh and she loved to see the joy on others faces. She was a beautiful person and will be missed dearly by all those she came to know. She was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Hamming; parents, Ronald and Beverly Mason; and her sister, Glenna VanDerGriff. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Christopher (Erin) Hamming, Ronald (Heather) Mason, Beverly (Aram) Street, Thelma Meekhof, Tyler Mason; 11 grandchildren; sister, Ronda (Perry) White; many other family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 13 at Edgetts Wesleyan Church, 3446 N. Raymond Rd, Luther, MI. with Rev. Dan Miller officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday an hour prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Salvation Army or the Humane Society.
